When you’ve had an ACL tear and reconstruction, it’s easy to think “oh I’ll be able to get back on the field or slopes or back to the gym in a few months”. Or maybe you assume you will just be able to return to where you were before when your physician says ‘you’re cleared’. Even worse, maybe you think “it’s normal” just because you’ve had surgery.
Is that how you’re feeling right now? If so, you’re not alone. In fact, everyday at OLYMPUS MOVEMENT PERFORMANCE we help people in North County San Diego who feel this way. You see, with AN ACL REPAIR, everyone asks us the same questions… Why does my KNEE STILL hurt so much? Why AREN’T I STILL ABLE TO GET BACK TO WHAT I WAS DOING BEFORE- (SOCCER, SKIING, CROSSFIT, ETC)? Am I going to have to live with LIMITATION IN MY KNEE forever? Unfortunately, there’s a lot of bad information out there that causes people to live with KNEE PAIN AND DELAYED RETURN TO SPORT OR ACTIVITY for way too long. Here are the most common mistakes we see the people of North County San Diego making when it comes to POST ACL REHAB AND RETURN TO SPORT OR ACTIVITY Mistake #1: Thinking MY KNEE PAIN AND LIMITATIONS will go away with rest. Mistake #2: Believing that KNEE PAIN will be “fixed” with painkillers. Mistake #3: Assuming KNEE PAIN is a “normal” part of getting older… OR THE NORMAL POST SURGERY Mistake #4: Believing that since you tried other healthcare professionals (maybe even Physical Therapy) in the past means that it won’t work now. Mistake #5: Relying on “Dr. Google” or YouTube for exercises that didn’t make any difference (or maybe even made your KNEE PAIN worse!) Mistake #6: Getting relaxing massages to temporary relieve KNEE PAIN, only to find it comes back after the massage wears off. Have you been making these mistakes? If any of this has happened to you, we want to say “we are sorry”...but remind you that you’re not alone. In fact, we see people just like you every day. And that’s why we’ve created a free POST ACL RECOVERY AND KNEE PAIN guide for you. It goes over Post-ACL surgery and Return To Sport (and you can click on the button above to download it). But maybe you feel like you’ve read a lot of free information on the internet, and really just want to talk to someone about your problem. Is that you? If so, then we have a special opportunity for you (one that VERY FEW clinics offer). We save a limited number of spots each week for time for people who are not sure what to do about their KNEE PAIN AND RETURN TO SPORT POST ACL REPAIR. That way, you can tell a professional your story, and get your question answered first, before ever making a commitment to book an appointment. Does that sound like something you would like to do? Here’s the most important thing… Most people get stuck trying to make a decision about what to do next. They go days, weeks, months (even years!) without taking action. The one thing we can guarantee is that by doing nothing, your KNEE PAIN won’t get better. So the next important thing is to take action. |

"I have been doing crossfit for a couple of years now, and have had my share of back pain, lack of shoulder flexibility, etc., and this is the one place that I have found relief in. Whether you have simple muscle pain and fatigue, need help with mobilizing, or simply needing some therapy such as cupping, etc. Anne Marie is the BEST! She will not just have you leaving feeling WAY better than when you came, but she will also give you tips and routines/stretches to do to maintain feeling good. I have had many pains throughout doing crossfit , and she is the one person I constantly go to for body maintenance. She is professional, reasonable, and so kind. I will recommend her over and over again to anyone!"

"Annemarie is amazing at what she does! She is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. My 12y/o daughter is a level 8 gymnast suffering from an osteochondral injury, resulting in surgery. She has been working with her throughout this journey to minimize pain, and fully recover. She continues to work with her to regain her mobility as well as strength and how to properly rebuild her body after her injury. Annmarie has by far surpassed any PT's we've been to thus far in my daughters gymnastics career. Be sure to check her out if your injured or looking to improve your performance, she is THE best!!"

"I’ve tried personal training at different gyms in the past, but were never really happy with the trainers and ended up quitting after a few months to go off on my own. Training with Olympus has been everything training should be. Brittany’s constant motivation, spirit and sense of humor make it fun. She able to make modifications to the scheduled workouts for any fitness level as well as modifications for personal limitations. My overall strength and fitness improved so much in a short space of time."
